| Professional Experience |
Mr. Hutson concentrates his practice in the area of litigation including construction
litigation, commercial and corporate litigation, civil rights and municipal law,
appropriations, and criminal defense. He is a member of the firm's White Collar
Criminal Defense Group. As a former Hamilton County Assistant Prosecutor in the
Municipal and Juvenile Divisions, Mr. Hutson prosecuted a variety of misdemeanor
and felony offenses. While in the Civil Division of the Prosecutor's office, Mr.
Hutson represented Hamilton County officials and agencies in a variety of matters
including employment and personnel issues, extraordinary writs, and Federal civil
rights class action lawsuits.
As a Hamilton County Assistant Prosecutor, was extensively involved in litigation
arising from the construction of Paul Brown Stadium
Has participated in the litigation of a number of Federal civil rights class actions,
municipal and employment matters, appropriations actions, and extraordinary writs.
As a Hamilton County Assistant Prosecutor, represented the Hamilton County Commissioners,
Sheriff, and Public Defender in civil rights class actions arising from jail conditions,
officer conduct, and assistance of counsel issues. Also represented Hamilton County
and the Hamilton County Board of Elections in a statewide voting rights class action
brought by the ACLU against the Ohio Secretary of State and designated counties.
Has represented Hamilton County Common Pleas Judges in prohibition and mandamus
actions, the Hamilton County Clerk of Courts in employment and personnel matters,
and has negotiated public contracts on behalf of the Hamilton County Administrator. |
