Representative Matters | Represented clients in the acquisition and development of office buildings, beachfront condominiums and office warehouse projects in the Midwest and Southeast states, including Florida, ranging in price from $200,000 to 35 MM.
Represented real estate developer in a series of tax-deferred exchange transactions beginning with sale of undeveloped land in Ohio, then involving several acquisitions and sales of Florida real estate developments, before ending with construction of a building in Ohio that was gifted to a charitable organization. These transactions deferred and ultimately avoided capital gain tax, and provided a charitable deduction against current and future income.
Represented family business owner in creation of estate plan including family limited partnerships, life insurance trusts, and family trusts to achieve tax relief and ownership transfer to subsequent generations.
