Attorneys within the Real Estate Practice Group represent regional and national
banks, developers, and landlords in a broad range of commercial real estate and
commercial finance transactions, including the purchase and sale of real estate,
negotiation and documentation of commercial loans, leasing arrangements on behalf
of commercial landlords and tenants, and the planning and execution of tax deferred
exchanges.
Within the Real Estate Practice Group are attorneys with particular experience in
Construction and Development Law. Members provide a full range of services to owners,
contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers, banks, and other lending institutions.
Construction Law attorneys handle matters involving construction projects and disputes,
including project financing, contract preparation, mechanic’s liens, bond and surety
claims, contract disputes, and construction defect litigation.
The firm’s title insurance agency, Seven Hills Title Agency, Ltd., provides title
insurance and escrow services in conjunction with real estate closings and tax deferred
exchanges. Seven Hills Title Agency serves as agent for both Old Republic National
Title Insurance Company and Ohio Bar Title Insurance Company.
- Represented a national bank in a loan transaction involving multi-million dollar
commercial real estate mortgages.
- Represented borrowers in the acquisition, sale, refinance, and leasing of several
commercial office buildings, office-warehouse, and retail office facilities.
- Represented the owner of a shopping center in the leasing and financing of a substantial
shopping center facility.
- Issued title insurance for a multitude of owners in real estate transactions involving
commercial and residential real estate.
- Represent a restaurant franchisee in the acquisition, development, and financing
of more than 40 restaurant sites.
- Represent a national restaurant financier in financing, sale/leaseback, and tax
deferred exchanges.
- Serve as Special Real Estate Counsel for the University of Cincinnati.
