Hailey E. Martin,

Associate

Hailey Martin has a general legal practice with Cohen, Todd, Kite & Stanford and has been a licensed attorney since November 2024. She focuses her practice in estate planning, business and commercial law, and civil litigation. Her civil litigation experience includes landlord/tenant disputes, contract disputes, fraud, embezzlement, gun rights, and much more.

Hailey attended the University of Cincinnati, where she obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology, with a minor in Criminal Justice, and a Legal Studies Certificate, all in the span of three years. Hailey went on to graduate from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Law and was named a “Champion for Public Service” after completing over 50 hours of pro bono legal work in her community during her time in law school. Hailey was a law clerk with CTKS for two years before becoming an attorney. In law school, she served as Executive Editor of the University of Cincinnati Law Review. Amongst other scholarly blogs, Hailey has had one piece published with the University of Cincinnati Law Review and one piece published with the University of Notre Dame’s Journal of Legislation.

Hailey prides herself on being approachable, responsive, and attentive, always taking the time to listen and fully understand each client’s unique needs and circumstances. With a reputation for integrity, professionalism, and a strong attention to detail, Hailey ensures her clients are well-informed and confident throughout the entire legal process. Hailey works tirelessly to protect clients’ rights and interests in every legal matter, staunchly advocating for her clients. In her free time, Hailey enjoys running marathons, watching sports (Who Dey!), playing pickleball, and traveling with friends and family. She also dedicates her time giving back to her community and has been volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for ProKids Cincinnati since the summer of 2022. Through this position, Hailey advocates for the best interest of abused and neglected children, ensuring they have access to things like legal advocacy, medical care, academic assistance, and emotional support as they transition to a safe and nurturing home

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

  • Represented plaintiff in a case invalidating Cincinnati’s illegal attempt to criminalize firearm possession. After a favorable decision in the trial court, the City appealed. The First District Court of Appeals unanimously agreed that the ordinance was illegal and sided with plaintiff.
  • Represented an individual in appeal of conviction for Gross Neglect of a Patient. Conviction reversed unanimously by the Ohio First District Court of Appeals and case dismissed.
  • Represented seller in successful multi-million dollar company asset sale.
